7 step to hiring a contractor
1. Always get multiply quotes because it’s your money, you work hard for it. It’s also way to prove that we give the best price in town always.
2. Ask to see there licences, and if they are bond. This way you know you have a professional and not some handy man.
3. GET EVER THING IN WRITING. It’s the best way to protect yourself.
4. Ask for a copy of all permits. This way when you sell your house you can prove a professional did the work.
5. Ask for references or ask what other companies you work for. Bright Side does work for MCD’s, Giant tiger, Canadian arm forces, Young’s Equipment, Cjay trailers, and so on. If your contractor doesn’t do work for outstanding companies you should look elsewhere.
6. Ask for a time line. If a company can’t be there when you need them, ask if there a discount if they done show. If they don’t show or don’t call you find a new company. It will be nothing but a pain in the neck from there.
7. Ask the owner to go over the job after it’s done. It’s a simple way you can deal with any issue you may have and get it dealt with right then.
8. MOST OF ALL GET IT IN WRITING….. Sorry I know its 7 steps but I can’t stress this enough.
