The Proform 1280 S is one elliptical that you can use to pamper yourself while you are toning and firming up your muscles while burning calories. This elliptical has five different foot pedal positions to accommodate users so everyone in your house can take advantage of exercising on this machine.
You can use the positions to help you get comfortable, but the different positions will also help you to target different muscle groups. You will have a smooth stride with zero impact on your joints and bones with the Reflex Step - unique to Proform ellipticals.
This technology absorbs the shock your joints and bones could get with each step and when the machine rebounds it helps to propel you into the next stride. You won't even realize that you are working out on this machine.
The Silent Magnetic Resistance means that you don't have to bother with setting resistance levels because the machine automatically does it for you, but the option is there if you would prefer to set the level you want.
As you choose a program, the 1280S will increase the resistance as you get into your program, allowing you to exercise without interruptions. You can increase the incline of the elliptical through nine different incline positions from 10 to 30 degrees.
There are 12 different workout programs for you to choose from and there is an interactive CD player for you to use other workout programs if you wish. The pulse sensors in the handgrips let you keep track of your heart rate.
This feature lets you increase or decrease the intensity or resistance to keep within your target heart rate range. The display is large and easy to read when you want to keep track of your time, speed and distance or take note of how many calories you burn in each session.
